2022-23 Parent/Student Handbook - DRAFT
Dear Families,
It is with much excitement that I welcome you (back) to Ignite Community Schools! I hope you all are enjoying the restful summer with family and friends. We look forward to partnering with you, our parents and guardians, to ensure your child succeeds in and out of the classroom.
While it would be impossible to share all of my findings, I do wish to present one emerging theme. From all my conversations, it is evident that the greatest strength of our campus lies in its support, your scholars. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be a part of this team and to continue working within a community that I have grown to love, and I look forward to a fantastic 2022-2023 school year.
During the summer and over the course of next year, the staff and I will be working on getting to know your scholars, and continuing to follow district and school-wide initiatives, improving our curriculum and assessment alignment across grade levels, and increasing scholar achievement. Additionally, it is important for us to improve our communication with parents and community members and most importantly, adhering to our shared belief that what makes our school great is what occurs within the walls of our classroom. I remain committed to supporting and promoting the best teaching practices across all grades and levels such as active scholar learning, problem-solving and critical thinking, creative writing, personal reflection, reading and collaboration in all classes, so that all scholars are college and career ready. This work is ongoing and defines us as a Your School Name Here community. With this primary focus on instruction and scholar learning, we will continue to ensure that we offer the best opportunities and learning experiences for all scholars to be successful and be well prepared to meet any challenge.
In closing, Ignite Community Schools remains dedicated to advancing your child’s academic, social and personal development in a supportive, safe and challenging learning environment. We welcome your active participation in your child’s education, and we urge you to be proactive in communicating with our administration, teachers, and to volunteer in our various programs and events. By working together, we will ensure success for your child. Should you have any questions or concerns, I welcome the opportunity to discuss them with you. I can be contacted at XXXXXXXX@responsiveedtx.com.
Respectfully,
Your Name
